I've been deliberating over whether or not to change my username on here for a very long time now and today I finally decided it was time.

I've had this account for 8 and a half years and have made many friends and gathered a wonderful group of supportive followers in that time - all who know me mainly as "haiiro-no-tenshi", unless we interact on other websites. I was 14 when I joined DA, doing Japanese lessons after school for fun and just starting to get into manga. I thought I was being so cool and original, giving myself a Japanese-based name (we've all been there, right?). Except it was total bollocks and meant diddly squat and started to fill me with embarrassed horror after a few years. I was quite worried about losing that name recognition, which lead to me umming and erring for ages, but I feel that I've finally completely outgrown "haiiro-no-tenshi" both as an artist and as a person.

Or at least I hope so!

I went with my real name because I'm useless at thinking of stuff like this and figured it was the easiest/least potentially embarrassing option. I use my real name on Twitter and link back to here so it's not really that difficult to find out who I am anyway *shrug* I'm not too bothered about the possibility of RL stalkers and would rather start developing as an artist under a reasonable brand/name.
